What this course is all about?
Our students have been challenged for the last several years with COVID19. They have seen many changes to the traditional way of teaching. These changes can be stressful and challenging for students. The addition of Social Emotional Learning (SEL) to the classroom has shown that student academic performance improves. There are 5 core competencies for SEL. This course will introduce you to the fundamentals of SEL and the benefits for you and your students. Imagine a classroom where students show improved classroom behavior, ability to manage stress and depression, and better attitudes about themselves, others, and school.
